From the Burien Test Kitchen
WTF. This cookery is not endorsed by Weight Watchers, nor perhaps anyone in their right mind...but in the words of the cook, it had to be tried once. It was his own Turducken. A bit of a delayed, white trash, ode to Thanksgiving, heart attacks, and high cholesterol. Do not attempt this at home...but if you do, at least wash it down with a decent brew.
Big Beer at Central Market
On an early morning shopping trip I snapped a few photos of the current selection and display at the Shoreline Central Market. This grocery store is a favorite beer run stop and carries many local breweries' goods. I was looking for Bitches Brew, but no luck. Note: the current price of the Jolly Roger 6 packs are on sale for $8.99.
Man Cave Update
TVB is now in true Man Cave heaven. Note: keg fridge with Sky Hag IPA on tap, just mounted TV, and stylish recliner to sit in, while enjoying items 1 & 2.

Fran Cooks Too
And now for our first ever contribution by my dad, Fran. His latest hunting trip landed him some big game--a buck. He is now working to cook, eat, and share all the meat. This sausage gun is one tool I don't have, have never used, and might never need. Interesting though. It looks like a caulking gun and cookie press had a baby. Only in Nebraska.
Brew, Meat, and the Weber Smokey Joe
Roast was good. Smoked for 3 hours them braised in the Dutch oven for 2.5 hours. Used stout to braise. Pulled apart so easy. The beer over powered the smoky flavor but still good.
Smokey Joe, acquired from a NE farm boy who quit smoking charcoal and now uses a little electric unit for all his kills.
Making it look easy.
